Obedience Inter/Adv

For dogs who have completed Basic Obedience, or with instructor approval. This class is for dogs and handlers that enjoy working and learning together as a team and who want to work on more advanced obedience skills. We will work on focus and engagement around distractions and explore reinforcement strategies. Dogs will learn to increase sit/stay and down/stay skills, working on distance and duration. We will perfect reliable recalls and, at instructor’s discretion, dogs may begin working off leash when appropriate. This class is fine for dogs that need to work on staying engaged with their handler around other dogs, but is not suitable for dogs that are reactive (e.g. lunging or barking at other dogs).
